New Years

Hey girls,

I just wondered what you lot did for New Years Eve?  We had a quiet evening; Christmas has been so hectic and I think it'll take me a couple of months to catch up and get back to where I was on my new treatment!  lol  I'm a dope!

James, Ellie and I stayed at James' Mum's house.  His Mum wasn't there til after midnight but one of James' brothers was there with his girlfriend and we had a few other friends.  We made some food and sat about playing cards and chatting.  Very quiet and adult I'm afraid!  (Some may say boring! lol)

What did you do?

Love to you all, x

DH and I, along with my sister and her DH went out for an early Italian dinner (we do this every year), then we come home to our dogs before the fireworks begin. At midnight, DH, Paka and I were in our room with the ac on trying to keep Paka calm thru the "war" raging outside. I'm so happy New Years is over.

Oh Linda, I'm so sorry to hear of Paka's distress!  It's rotten how fireworks can scare animals so much!  I live on the outskirts of Dartmoor, but used to live right in the middle and every New Years and Bonfire Night (English tradition) we used to hear a low, steady, thundering.  It was the ponies and cattle running all over the Moor because they were terrified of the noises of the fireworks.  SO horrible!  My Weimaraner, Tara, gets very nervous too; she'll slink around the house, unable to be consoled by anyone or anything.

Sattie, your night sounds very much like mine!  lol  You cant go wrong with Champagne though, can you?!

Hubby and I did the "adult" thing as well.  I made some nibblies and we had some wine.  Then we waited for the ball to drop in New York.  We talked about the past year, and what happened in our world, and then hoped for health and happiness for all our family and friends.  Shortly after that we went to bed..lol  Ahhhh the good life!

Absolutely not!!!  Can't think of a better way to spend it... what is even better is that hubby don't like it, so I get it all to myself!!!
