It cam to my attention a little while ago frmo an Arizonian friend of mine that you Americans dont have Christmas Cake, so I thought I'd show you mine! Christmas Cake is a traditional food that we Brits have and for me Winter just wouldn't be the same without it! It is essentially a glorified fruit cake (I assume you have fruit cake?) that has been fed with brandy and then had a layer of marzipan and then a layer of royal icing. They are decorated usually in festive colours, often with snowmen/holly and berries/red/gold ribbon, but this year, for teh first time, I have decorated mine a little differently. It is not very festive, but is pretty and I think reflects my taste a lot! Anyway, here is a picture, I hope you like it!
That looks so good! I want a piece!!...lol I love hearing about other people's traditions. It's alway so interesting to me how many different thing people do on the same holiday.
