Well I dont know if anyone has chit chatted about this here yet, but I'm just curious... What is everyone's music preference here? I loooooove music, and I listen to mostly rock, hard core punk, old school metal and punk, shock rock, and emo stuff.
I like the occasional hip hop song, but it has to be a really good tune though... a lot of stuff on the radio drives me nuts because it sounds like the same thing over and over again.
I use to sing in choirs and stuff, but then I started smoking (bad bad stuff!) and it ruined my voice. :( I use to sing in a tiny emo/goth/punk type of band when I lived in Washington state, and I use to play guitar.
My favorite band is AFI (A Fire Inside).

I love music as well. Can't carry a tune in a bucket, but I have been known to sing in a shower or two.:) I like all types of music if it is good. I don't care too much for rap, but even then, there are some song that I do enjoy listening to. My favorite music is old classic rock, 70's, 80's music. My husband is Puerto Rican, and I am really enjoying listening to latin music these days as well.
You are right about that. Hubby's cousin teaches salsa dancing in New York. Richard is working on his website, and his cousin is always sending him new salsa music. I really like it alot. I'm always telling him..burn me some CD"S..lol
Ok, I like a bit of everything except country. Not a country song fan by any means. I grew up listening to Metallica, Anthrax, Motley Crue, Ratt, Def Leppard... etc... I still like hearing those songs. I also like alot of newer stuff like Goldfrappe, Beck, Gwen Stephani, Taproot, and I really dig soundtracks... I like the music mix you can get on them. I also like Christian music, pop, disco, you name it... pretty much everything except country!!!
Oooh, I love music! I strted a thread in the Hobbies section on it a while ago. Before I got ill I was all lined up to be a musician as a career choice. I sang mostly but can also play a bit of Cello, Flute, Piano, and Guitar. I guess you could say I'm kinda musical! lol Since I got ill though I think I want to be something that gives more; like a Nurse, or a Doctor. I still adore singing though and hope to one day go back to the Piano.
As for styles, I am a soul and soft rock kinda gal mostly, but actually I can get into pretty much anything and everyrthing! Except heavy metal; I just dont get it.

But first here are some of my favorite bands: I really love Interpol, chilli peppers, smashing pumpkins, at the drive in, and ours!! And this is my other favorite bands: cold, slipknot, satic x, killswitchengage, the black dahlia murder, deftones, Jimmy Hendrix, The doors, Korn, poison of th well, element 80, soad, mastodon....and the list goes on and on ;o)
