If im going out, and know im gonna be late (late meaning after biscuits bed time) then my mom will put his favourite blanket down on my bed to sleep in. and every night, its the same routine.
He hears me coming inside and down the hall, and gets sooo excited! he jumps all over me and licks me and yadda yadda yadda...then I get changed into my PJ's and leave to go to the washroom to wash up and all that. By the time i come back, biscuit will be at the end of the bed, and WONT make any contact with me. He gets mad at me for staying away so late. Once the excitement is over, he realizes that his mom made him go to sleep by himself, and decides to punish me for it. On a normal night as soon as we go to bed biscuit cuddles up under my chin and goes to sleep, but NOt when hes mad.
This is the same too if he has just gotten in trouble for barking or something, he will lye only at the end of the bed, not touching me, and will not give kisses or anything. he just pouts!!
I know hes mad but I just cant help but laugh at his character!! its tooo cute.
It doesnt last long, after about 10 minutes he comes up to make face and ksses me, then tries to go under the covers and cuddle as if to say "Ok mom, i think you learned your lesson, I forgive you"
HAHAHA, its too funny, i wish I could video tape it for everyone, he gives me a "TIME OUT" when hes mad.
That's such a neat story! He sure has a mind of his own, eh? Well, so long as you are learning your lesson, that's good! LOL! He sounds like such an awesome chi to be around. Shame on Mom making him go nite-nite alone! LMBO!
Aw! That sounds so cute and funny. Chis have a way of making use feel guilty, don't they? It really does feel bad when they give you the silent treatment even if it is only for a short time.
Dogs are such wonderful animals, and Brit, it sounds like you have a wonderful and caring relationship with yours!! I loved the story, thanks so much for sharing!!!
That is sooo cute!! Houdini does it to me too after a bath. He'll break his little neck trying to turn his head away from me so I can't get a kiss. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one that thinks its endearing/funny too!
Usually when I go to bed in the evening Ellie will come into bed with me for a little while before I put her in her basket on the floor, and when I do it I pick her up and say good night and give her a kiss. Will she make eye contact with me?! Will she heck! She just turns her head away and will NOT give me a kiss, or even a look! I'm pretty sure she knows that 'ggod night Ellie!' means she's getting chucked out of the bed!
They're such fdunny little creatures, aren't they?!
