Tonight, my daughter, son-in-law, hubby and I will be going to Portland to visit my grandson who is away at college. It's a short trip and we will be back on Monday. Play nicely while I'm away now. Linda
College student, huh? Be sure to take lots of "money, food, stamps, phone cards, etc!!" Mine has only been out of college for less than 2 years, and I remember what those trips were like. Be safe .. Deb

I missed ya! Got back yesterday and I'm still a little jet lagged. The flight to Portland, Org. is 51/2 hours non stop. But it was great because both ways we had the 3 seater row with just the two of us in that row, so I got to stretch out and get some shut eye. My daughter and her hubby got the same deal so it was a comfortable flight both ways. My daughter is a flight attendant for Aloha Airlines so we just pay the tax on each flight. SWEEEEEETTTT!
My grandson is doing very well and likes his school. He is attending Warner Pacific College. It is a very small Christian school. We brought him TONS of local stuff that him wanted and we also took him shopping for TONS of more stuff. It was very hard saying goodbye again but he comes home for the Christmas break.
We did a lot sightseeing in Portland and we had so much fun getting lost. All in all, it was a terrific trip. I'll post pictures as soon as I upload them. This is the first time I have fired up my Mac and still have a lot of catching up up do. I missed you all. Good to be home.......................Linda
Welcome home, Linda... Sounds like a great trip and can't wait to see the photos... I know the grandson really appreciated the "goodies" and the visit.... Deb

Miss Linda, great to have ya back!!!! That is a pretty long flight in my opinion so I understand the jet lag. But it sounds like you had a great time!!! Oh and the flight benefits... that is SUH-WHEET!
I have some pictures in an album if any of you would like to see. These are my pictures and my daughter will be adding hers soon. The very first picture is at out hotel. Daughter and grandson are using the puter to access Map Quest, because we kept getting lost.LOL. The next pictures are of my daughter and grandson in front of his school. Then there is his dorm building. The picture of the man holding the apple is my DH. We never saw an apple tree before.
