Wow, wonderful pics of the beach bums!! Reminds me of an old Jimmy Buffet song, for those old enough to remember "blew out my flipflop, stepped on a poptop!!"
I love the one of the "beach bums" on the shore. They look so cute with their tongues hanging out Sure looks like everyone had great time, makes me sooo jealous. Thanks for sharing the trip with us. Deb

How did you get the boys to behave to well off a leash. With joey and biscuit as soon as the leash is off, they take off! and are not good with cars or antyhing and they dont come back, we have had to run up the street trying to catch them a few times...
So we are too afraid to let them go at a beach or somehting, is their anyway to train this? Because now we are too afraid to take off their leash anywhere!
The first two days we were there, it rained. Drainage down there is not very good so there are puddles everywhere. I had to clean them off because they would get all this gunk and dirt on their undersides, along with being wet. I just used paper towels to blot them dry and then dust off any dirt that was on them.
I used the leash on them for the first couple of days, then stopped because it was easier. There is not much traffic down there this time of year so I felt safe letting them loose. They stay close, not sure how I do it, but when they start to wonder off, I say "NO". And I use the word "STAY CLOSE" and they do. Our neighborhood is really busy and I worry about getting out in the street, so I have always been very careful about how far they get from me. I guess just repetitive use of certain words and using a strong voice has paid off!
Well it looks splendid Sattie! The photos are just great, and looks like you had a fabulous hol. I am so pleased, you deserve it honey! So did Binksy like the water then? What about Boots? I couldn't believe Ellie would go into the waves when we took her to the beach; these tiny dogs are so fiesty!

Jessie... Port Aransas is a little island just outside of Corpus Christi, you can take a ferry to get to it or drive around to a bridge to cut over. It is really nice but it is nuts during the peak season, big getaway for the college kids. The key is to go after labor day.

Boots and Binks were leary at first, but then they got a little braver. They would try to follow us into the water, but then when a wave came they went racing back towards the shore. I did take Binks out a bit in the surf and brought him back and let him swim in the rest of the way, he did it like a pro! They wanted to jump in the pool with us, but they said they could not be in the pool. I was happy that they let us have them with us at the pool.
Sattie, great pics! Looks like you guys had a blast! I love the beach! It is great to see your hubby in some of the pics. It is always fun traveling with the babies...I would say they enjoyed the ride! BTW, you look great, as you always do!
Great pics sattie!! You all looked like you had a wonderful time.:) Hubby and I are going to go there one day as well. I have heard it is a great place to see. Maybe this time we will take the dogs.:)
Do go sometime.... and when you do, be sure to let me know, I can tell you where all the good resturants are at. We have been going the past 15 years and love it there!!! Course you know to go after Labor day, much cheaper and not so many people!
