This is my Gerbal, his name is Peanut. Got him when i lived in an apt. and couldn't have dogs or cats! :) After one hamster i had named Tyson (hints the name..) i have been so scared of hamsters & gerbels bc he was a biter and i never held him bc of it. Hmm he got lose in my old house and we never found him..


But we never hold Peanut bc one time he snapped at Evan so im SCARED!! I feel bad though!

Poor lonely Peanut.  Does he at least have a roller ball that he gets in to roll around the floor in the house?  My son had a little white mouse (Frosty) when he as a teen that would roll that thing all around the room.  Course he wasn't a biter either.. He would sit on the top of Clint's books while he was studying... He was a cutie, but as with most little mice, he only lived 3 years.

Depending on how long you've had him. he may can be tamed. if its been a while there may be little hope . :( poor baby!) i have had several bites and trained my hamsters. The get lonely and depressed if never had a friend or  interaction. You might look into puting him up for adoption. ( where do you live?) i have a Gerbil board on my hamster site ( www.hamsterhealth.bigbig.com ) take a look there for more advise! ;)

We do have a ball for him but when we put him in it he just sits there and doesn't move.  How can i tell if he is depressed. Evan goes and feeds him everyday and pets him, but he doesnt like to be held.  We have had him for about 1 and a half years. I live in Knoxville,Tennessee. You don't think i should get another one for him to play with do you??

sadly he doesnt have much life left. :( but if u ever get another gerbil or DWARF hamster ( not syrian) get 2 make SURE tehy are same sex. just love him extra . till his time ends.
