sleeping?

I was just wondering is it a good idea to let you puppy sleep in your bed with you? Im kinda sketchy on that because I feel it may be dangergous. How about when the dog is full grown? Does anyone have their chis sleep on your bed?

My biggest concern at the moment is that Corona would wake up in the night and mess in my bed (eeww!!). But I think by the time she is housebroken, she will be big enough that she wouldn't be in huge danger of being squished... I don't tend to move around a whole lot anyway, and I assume she'd learn the safest place to sleep.

Well Ellie sleeps in our bed most nights.  She tends to like to lie in the middle (she hs a fear of the sides of the bed! lol) either on my hot water bottle (up by my chest/stomach) or behind James' or my knees.  If we move, she knows to move too.  I dont think it's like a human baby, as they wouldn't be able to move themselves out of the way, Chis will move!  lol  But if I know Ellie's there I will watch myself a little instinctively so as not to roll on her.

I would keep your puppy in a kennel (playpen or doggie bed) to start off with until they are potty trained and big enough.

I too allow my pups to sleep with me, but I did not let Binks do so until he was a bit older.

One night, I could hear binks crying and scratching, but could not figure out where he was at, but I knew he was in our bed. So I got up and turned on the lights and found Binks had squirmed his way to the foot of the bed and was stuck in the sheet hanging over the side of the bed. You know when you make your bed and tuck the sheet in at the bottom, that is where Binks had gotten... it was soooo funny!!!

Three of our chis sleep with us..but all my babies were "raised" in a child's playpen to start with.. They slept in the pen at night and were put in there to rest after playtime during the day.. They were generally out of the playpen stage by 4 months old... Deb

I personally like having a couple in the bed, exept Fangadang, who pushes you off! LOL, but once they are on, they will always be on, they start to look at the floor as "what did I do wrong, to deserve this kind of hostile treatment?"
trust me, once they're on, they are on!

All four of my girlies sleep with me.. Molly at the foot of the bed.. Jazzy around my knees and Lucy and coco under my chin. They do move when you move. They love the bed so much. I couldn't find Coco or Molly this morning and spent ten mins out side yelling out their names (with my sore throat) and on the verge of tears. Then I went back in the house to get some pants on, I heard crying from my bedroom. The lil buggers were already back in bed waiting for me to come back!!
I scolded them.. but it didn't last long.
They sure do make your life richer.
