still waiting on papers..... they state they were sent out 2 weeks ago but since they are out of town perhaps they *May have been* returned. (yeah right) so when they get home they will recheck and have them sent out. So I told them they better get it straightend out or I was going to seek legal advice.

*SINCE* the scar on Kiwi is not going to heal and it was done in their care PRIOR to her leaving...... they did assure me that the hair would grow back but it has not and the vet confirmed that the hair would not grow back.
SO my question is if I were to ask for some money back what would be fair?
I paid 975.00 for her......... 250 was shipping stuff so basically @ 700.00 She was born 8-4-06 and was flown/shipped to me at 13 wks old on Nov 5.....(they live in OH and I live in FL) I know I should be happy I even have Kiwi and I am I really am but this one part of me can't help but feel scammed / mad at them for thier unethical tricks (sigh).. Aside from the fact that she is just the cutest and that you now have a companion for the duration of her life, I do feel you have a solid complaint and I do think you should get what you feel you deserve.
$975 is alot of money, and for that kind of money, yes, I expect perfection. Anything less than that, I want an adjustment. They should owe you a refund of some sort, just getting that refund is a whole other story.

Good on ya girl! I think you're completely within your rights and are sensible to do what you're doing! Even though Kiwi is gorgeous and I know you're completely in love with the lil' gal, you have been treated poorly and lied to in more ways than one. If I were you I'd find a Lawyer/Solicitor now. I think you need to show these people you mean what you say and wont back down until you get what you're due.
I cant advise you on the amount you should ask for back, but I'd imagine a Lawyer would be able to assist on that matter. Plus, prices are very different in the US to the prices in the UK, so to me what you paid sounds way too cheap! lol
This kind of thing makes me so angry, and if this breeder was in the UK I'd go and whop her ass! I really hope you get what you deserve with this. Please keep us updated on your progress and if there is anything I can do, just shout!

just glad to be done with those idiots! I don't think I'll pursue this any further..... even though they should refund some of the paid money due to the scar but at this point..... I just want to be cut loose from them!
I can completely see why you'd want to just cut all ties now, that seems fair enough. What rats they were! But at least you did get the papers in the end! Yay! I'm so glad!
