Oh crap! Today i have to go get a cavity filled!! :( I haven't had a cavity in a LONG time so I am soooooooooo scared! I know I am going to have to get a shot in my mouth and that freaks me out! And the noise of the drill!! AHHHHHHH kill me now!! Ew I am getting shivers just thinking about it. The only upside is that I get to leave work 3 hours and 45 min. early. BUT GAHH!
Hmmm, I know I'm going to be a minority here, but I'm fine with Dentists! I come from a family of Dentists, Nurses, Doctors, and Teachers. My Dentist is my Uncle and I've not yet had to have any major work done; not fillings, no braces, nothing! He extracted a few baby teeth that got stuck for me, but that's it, so far. I dont like having injections in my mouth, but I can cope with it. I guess having been so ill has made me tough, I dont bat an eyelid at anything any more! lol
He said it was a very small cavity and if I wanted he wouldn't have to give me a shot and he would go slow.....but I can't decide if I want the shot or not!!!!!!! I am seriously so scared and nervous! I know the shot doesn't hurt that bad (I have had a cavity before) but I don't know!
C'mon girl.. get tough!!! You can do it!!! I hate needles so I know the concern, but hey, better to deal with it now then wait till you have to get the tooth pulled!! Get your booty in there, tell yourself you can do it, think about something else and be done with it!!!!
I totally understand what you guys talking about, it's very normal for people, to get nervous and scared when they go to see the dentist, becuase of the noise, the needle, them things going inside of your mouth and the patient its just laying there not really knowing what they doing inside of your mouth. Because you can't see, I'll guess you just might close your eyes and just hope for the best and get it over with. I myself still get nervous, and I work in denistry.
Ahhhh, you made it through!!! Yea!!! I have never like watching something sharp going into my mouth and not being able to see what they are doing!!! But glad it all worked out for ya girlie!!!

Even though I have had many scary, unpleseant medical procedures in my life time I actually really sympathise on your fear of Dentist needles! I'm fine with needles, but having one in your gum is never a nice experience. It's my worst place for injections! lol
