Hello everyone I wanted to write to share some news with yall
i sold a couple little boys they where brothers to a lady who i thought i really knew well she wrote me a check and she had the boys and the checks bounced well i contacted her to say i need the money on the puppies and she said she would send it over nite 3 days later i did recieve it . the sad part was that the nite befor i got it I noticed she placed them on puppyfind to resell them i was so upset and had tears in my eyes cause i care about where my babies where going too , well i sold them for 400 each and seen she listed them for 650.00 and i called her up on it and told her she is a broker and a puppymill and she told me once she paid for them that she can do what she wants with them , i called ckc and told them of this and i had the papers stopped since they where stil in my name so now i am so worried where these babies are so please if anyone breeds chihuahuas to be more careful with someone you even know. or thought you knew . i miss them so much and seeing a photo with them on newpapers and a small area that hurt cause they where never on newspaper in their whole lifes they are only 8 weeks old . can someone tell me what i did wrong .so i can change it . it states in my contract that if you no longer want the puppy you must call me first to see if i want the puppy back and if not then you can place them in forever loving homes and not for more then the amount you paid for the furbabies . so upset i just want to cry more thanks amy at lv_chihuahuas just if you ever go to that site you will see him i have a posting that says must read
I am so sorry! This same thing had been going on with Chimi and his breeder, and the puppymill folk that purchased him. Some people are just so low that they dont have anything else better to do with themselves. That really stinks, and I hope that everything works out for you in the best...
Did she sign that contract that you just spoke about? If she did, you could try and get her in court for violating it...
HELLO OH YA I MAKE EVERYONE SIGN THEM I EVEN MADE MY NIECE SIGN ONE TOO YES ITS AWFUL BUT IT WAS A LESSON LEARNED ON WHO GETS MY BABIES NOW . THANKS FOR TALKING ABOUT THIS SORRY YALL HAD TO GO THREW THE SAME THING ITS A VERY SAD THING NOT KNOWING TOO WHERE THESE BABIES ARE GOING NAD IF THEY REALLY GET GOOD HOMES
Hopefully you will be able to track them somehow... and once they find a great forever home maybe the owners will be able to contact you somehow. I got chimi's papers from a daughter of the puppymill owner, and that is how I got in touch with the breeder. She was just happy that Chimi now had a great home... I hope that they go to a really great place, even if they are being sold again...
You definitely do have to watch it now a days too... I have been trying to adopt out a Chinese Crested of mine for sometime now, and I have gotton WAY too many emails from scammers to be comfortable with the internet anymore. It's horrible.
It is at times like this that I am very glad that I live in the UK, not the US. I have never come across any puppymills, and I dont know anyone in this country that has. It seems that we just dont get them here.
I didn't sign any sort of contract when I bought Ellie and I wont be making one for when I breed her next year. I have no doubt it is a necessity in some parts of the world, but thankfully not here.
I am so sorry for your awful time you've had, I really am.
Puppy mills are all too common in bc canada, I have waiting lists for people who want puppies from me, and occassionally I will buy a pup for one of my clients from another breeder that I know well-only someone that I know well as when you sell a pup YOU are the one responsible for their health, ect. for the life of that dog! but I wouldn't call it brokering a pup, as I do not charge above the price I paid plus whatever the shipping was, and ALWAYS tell the other breeder/friend that the pup is for one of my clients. That's awful! can't the ckc do something? if she signed the contract saying that she had to let you know before re-selling them, then she broke a legally binding contract! awful woman! somone just stole a litter of chis here in my town, said they wanted to show their mom the pups in the car, and took off! thankfully they were 8 weeks, but still the person has not been caught. that's why I do in home interviews with my puppy people, and do not exept checks at all.and pre-authorize credit cards. sorry you had such an awful experience.

That is so not right. You have to be so guarded in everything you do... specially when it comes to the almighty dollar. It is a hard lesson, but none the less, you know now and that is what counts.
hello again all well i cancelled the papers on them so they wont be registered at all now . but lets say it was really weird last nite about 2am i got a email from this lady saying this woman told her about me having a female puppy in the dearborn area and the only one i know there is the one who is doing all this and i told her i am sorry but will not let any of my babies go in her care . then i found out it was another email addy she has so see i am keeping my eyes on where my babies go more and more . it wa a good lesson to learn and now i am on guard . i did find out where one of the babies went and i told the lady the pups are not registered anylonger due to this going on and she totally understood . but i am happy he is in a good home she is a nurse and i had her work number to contact her so that proved her message she sent me with her work number . thanks all still waiting to see where the other one goes and the only way the lady contacted me and she seen my must read ad on a website i use so it works good i think . take care and good nite all i am beat . bye
Well now, that's a relief and a slightly happier ending! I am glad.
It was such a horrible experience, but at least you've learned an important lesson. It's great that you're able to see a silver lining on this dark cloud! Well done honey!
