Well gang, the bird fiasco just keeps on happening. Hubby and I were checking on the babies earlier this week, and we started counting heads as usual. Now it seems there ARE seven babies in there. The last egg we thought wasn't going to hatch, did infact hatch. So now the babies are ranging in big age gaps. All are doing well though. The parents are excellent parents. Very attentive and always feeding. They are gonna make me broke buyin birdseed though..lol Here are a couple of pics I took today. Tomorrow a couple of them will be two weeks old, and some of them have their eyes open already and some colored feathers. Yeeahh!! Looks like we are going to have a couple of yellow ones.
Gumwads are getting some color!!! Kinda like gumwads rolled around in soot!! But I do have to say they look cute... those little beaks!!! I can't wait to see what they will look like next week!!!!
Hey two are gonna be yellow like their dad!... Fantastic... Gummy is yellow!.. I can't believe all 7 hatched out, now you have them in 3 different age groups.. Unbelievable newfie... Only you.. Deb

I agree with ya about the beaks Jess, so cute! I didn't think that there would be so many of them newf! Holy Hannah! ARe you and deb gonna exchange any of your gumwads? Great pictures... can't wait for the feathers!
We won't be keeping all of them. They will be finding new homes, except maybe two of them. We have been talking about just keeping two. We didn't think they would all hatch either believe me!. Apparently it is unusual for all of them to hatch, especially the first clutch like this. Like deb said, would only happen to me..lol
ChiAddict, I wish deb lived closer so we could do that. :) But she has so many herself now. I don't feel all alone..lol
