I've just got Ellie some new food. It is a dry complete called Pero. Has anyone come accross it? It is organic and it uses only human grade meat. I'm stoked as it has been one hell of a mission to find a dog food like this!
Right now Ellie is sitting beside me munching on the free treats that came with it, (it's her first taste!) so that is good news! I'll let y'all know how it goes down as a normal diet with her in the next couple of weeks.
Jess, I had not heard of it before, but you had mentioned it once before and I looked it up on the net and it looks like a good healthy brand of food. Although I am no expert, I am always for any kind of food that is natural or hollistic. If Ellie loves it then I say you have got the right dog food. I just switched mine to Natures Variety which is a hollistic dog food and mine seem to like it so far. I have not seen Pero anywhere around where I live, otherwise I probably would have considered it for my chis.
It smells really good, kind of herby. You know how most dog food, dry or wet, smells yucky? Well this smells good to me! I haven't worked out yet if that says a lot about the food or a lot about me!
I havent heard of that brand either. But, like you said that could be a UK brand or something. But, it sounds real healthy and it is great that Ellie likes it. That is a total plus. I hope this food works out for ya'll.
I finally got Binks over to the Blue Buffalo (completely) and he has been on that for about 3 weeks now. His coat seems much healthier and he sheds less. I am still watching for other changes as well, but to date, his coat is the most noticeable.
Well, thank ggoodness I have a pup who isn't picky! Not that she'd get the chance to be honest, as I dont allow that! Ellie seems to be doing well on it. It's only been about a week since I started switching her over but so far, so good! I myself feel a lot happier knowing I am giving the best that is available to her. I guess I'll have to give it another week or two bwfore I make an educated statement on how it is overall.
