Hershey had to visit Vet

I had to take Hershey to the Vet this morning.  He had not been himself all night and morning.  He was restless, shakey, and seemed uncomfortable.  He was not doing anything like he usually does.  I was worried he was in pain.  Turns out the Vet said he seems to have a pinched nerve in his back.  He was given a cortizone (sp?) shot and is on pain meds.  He is doing better now, the shot has kicked in and he's more himself.  I felt so bad for my baby.  They said it could take a couple weeks for it to heal completely, but with the shot and meds he should do fine.  I was just glad it was nothing too serious.  It just scares me when anything happens to my babies.

Oh no!  Not Hersh!  Sounds like he'll be ok soon though, the poor boy.  Let us know how he gets on, wont you?

Love, and a big, but gentle, hug from me to Hershey, Jess x

Lin, the Vet didn't say how it may have happened.  Nothing happened to him as far as I know, but maybe he did it while playing with Sassy or Jax or jumping around.  He's doing better.  He's resting plenty and seems to not be hurting now.  He isn't shaking like he was anyway.

He seems to be doing much better.  He has started perking up and playing some the last day or so.  I'm still giving him a pill at night.  I guess I will continue until the 10 day amount runs out.  All is looking really well though!  Thanks!

They said form the symptoms and how he was doing, that they see it a lot and so they were pretty sure that's what it was.  If the shot and meds had not worked though, by the next day, I was to bring him back.  He's doing great though.
