Awful name huh? I call her Jill. She's 6yrs old and a Chi Mix. They think maybe with Pom. She's just under 7 lbs and very fragile. She's got a bad cut on her eye, a bad right leg, her skin is in awful condition because of flea bites and scratching, and she has kennel cough. Poor thing. Calling in a few to get her an appt at the rescue's vet to have a look at her eyes and her hip. Poor thing is so stiff in that leg when she first gets up. She such a sweet heart. She was found as a stray, and the people thought at first she was a fox. She does look a little like a fox.
What a sweetie.. Such a beautiful face.. I am so sorry to hear she is in such terrible condition Please let us know what the vet says about her and I pray she gets a wonderful forever home. Deb

Awe, bless her little heart!!! I know she is in good hands and will be feeling better soon. Such a pretty face and I agree.... she does have a foxy look about her!!
She was very nervous at first and a little snippy but she's coming around. She gets up out of her crate when I come in the room, begs for food and starting to sniff around and be curious about her environment. Which is good. She's was also following me all around yesterday. I'm probably the first person to give her love and kind attention in awhile, which is why I guess she's always checking in with me. Got an appt tomorrow for her at the vet so hopefully we can get some meds for that eye and make her look even prettier so someone will adopt her. Sunday, they kept saying how cute she was, but no one was interested as she just laid in my lap like she was half dead. I think she was sad and not feeling well. Hopefully she'll be better this Sunday.
Well, the problem with her eyes is apparently permanent scaring from previous injuries and nothing can be done to fix them. Both her rear legs have grade 4 luxating patella (sp?) and because of her age the vet doesn't think surgery would help her as she's most likely developed quite a bit of arthritis in them. So, we'll treat the kennel cough and hopefully we will be able to find her a wonderful home that is quite and not real active.
It breaks my heart thinking about Jill. I pray there will be a home for her where she can be loved and comfortable. It is amazing that she is even willing to trust people at all. She is a beautiful little girl who deserves much more than she has been given in life. You certainly have my respect and gratitude for what you are doing. Thanks for the update. Deb
