Well guys, today is the day!!! We are getting packed and we are gonna head to Port Aransas here in a bit. I am excited and the dogs are excited. They are excited for a different reason tho. They know when the suitcases comes out, that they are going somewhere, just not with us..... little do they know!!! I will be taking pics to share with you guys, but it may not be until Sunday before I can get around to it. Anywho.... just wanted to let you guys know and will try and check in from time to time.
Ok, you will have to forgive me, I am on dial up and it is costing me out the whazoo!!!! Anyhow, we are here in Port Aransas and the ride went pretty smooth. Boots whined a bit at first but they both soon settled in and all is well. It was too late to go to the beach, but that will be first on our list for tomorrow.

Enjoy the beach for me Sattie! I'd LOVE to be at a beach. Dial up sucks, having to pay out the hiney for it sucks even worse, but I'm so glad you can be in touch. Have loads of fun and hug the furballs for me!
Day one and it is raining... don't mind much. Dogs did ok over night... they slept with us. We went to the beach and they did pretty well, they ran through the water and got all sandy. What a mess!!!
The place we are staying at is kinda seedy, it looks clean but does not feel clean. You ladies know what I mean. Then, when we got back from the beach and I was cleaning the guys up, I found a tick on Binks.... did I ever freak!!!! So it is about 5pm, I saw a track next door I may go and try and run at, but so far so good! Dinner at Crazy Cajuns tonight!!!
Well sounds like you are having a good time anyways. I have a great dislike for ticks myself ever since I watch a program about them. Bleckkkk. Hopefully the rain won't continue and you will have some nice sunny days.
I am hoping it doesn't rain while we are in Galveston next week. I have never been to the coast, and I want to see it without raindrops..lol
I just wanted to let everyone know that we made it back safe and sound. It is about a 7 hour drive and the kids did just wonderful. They exceeded my expectations given that this was their first trip, first long range car ride, being around strangers, being in a strange place, and for Binks, first time on a leash! They all did great! I am a bit tuckered myself and have eaten more seafood than I care to look at for the next month. I feel as though I need to run 50 miles and fast for 24 hours.
Anywho, I will post pics soon. Boots and Binks, Chris and I say "Hellllooooo!" and we are glad to be back home!

Welcome home Sattie sweetie, it's great to have you back with us! Glad you had a great time and it sounds like your boys were an asset to you! Aren't we lucky to live with these grogeous pups?!
Naw, we aren't taking the dogs this time. Hubby and I haven't had a vacation without the dogs ever. For that matter, we haven't even had a honeymoon. Our anniverary is Oct 4th, so we are going to Galveston as a honeymoon/anniversary gift to ourselves. A friend of ours is taking care of the animals for us while we are gone. She lives next door, and loves the dogs. She spoils them rotton. I am pretty sure they won't miss us much..lol She already has doggy outtings planned while we are gone..lol
Soooo, we leave tommorrow, and will be back Wednesday. Possibly Thursday. We haven't decided yet. So I will talk to everyone when we get back. We aren't taking the laptop either..lol
Dogs are unconditional LOVE!
