We really do have these puppies at my rescue. Can you believe it? No, I'm not fostering them. Can't do puppies, I'd get waayy too attached.
Lee Chi Aussie Pups - (Mixed) - Available
Breed: Australian Shepherd / Chihuahua Mix Age: 5 Weeks History: Shelter Description: This litter of seven pups came to us from Lee County. As improbable as it sounds, mom was a Chi and Dad was an Aussie.
These babies are going to be BIG. They're only 5 weeks and look how big they are.
I am in shock!! I have never heard of a chi having a litter of 7. I also can't imagine her giving birth to pups with heads so large... I assume there was a C-secion? The babies are beautiful, wonder what they will look like???

Goodness! Poor mama Chi, it must've been horrible for her!
Great to hear the pups found homes. I'd almost consider adpoting one myself just to find out what it turns out like as an adult! lol Can you imagine?! A large dog with a Chi's personality!
When I last saw them at the adoption event they were about 9 weeks old and already almost the size of my Akira. Big bodies with Chi faces. Absolutely adorable.
Now that is certainly and interesting mix. Either the Chi was an amazon (b/c of 7 puppies!!!) or the Aussie was a lil Runt! I love their colouring though. They should be pretty smart with the chi and aussie mix. I really can't wait to see what they grow up to look like.
I was just thinking that myself, Vic. Some SERIOUSLY smart puppies. LOL. Dogs that are smarter than me drive me insane... and Chimi is enough to make me pull my hair out sometimes. He's already smart enough just being a Chi... but crossed with an aussie shepherd!??!?! ACK!!
ausies and border collies are among those insane smart dogs... lol. my friend had an aussie (he was a little aggressive) and every time my friend left the room he would start barking and snapping at our feet till we all got together and stood up. lol. he was totally herding us.
girl...you have no idea how much Zip thinks we are sheep on some days..lol We have been slowly breaking her of the habit of biting and nipping at our feet. But it's been five years!..lol She doesn't do it as much, but when she is excited, look out!
That is funny about the dog making y'all stand up..lol Zipper isn't that bad, but she will herd ya for sure if you let her. When my 2 year old nephew was down, she had a hoot herding him all over the place. She would see him go to touch something, and off she would go and park herself between him and whatever it was he was after. Then she would use her butt to push him away. It was hilarious because Devon LOVED it. He was dying laughing! And we were laughing so hard at them we were crying..lol
Yeah, my friend's dog only does it when she leaves the room, since she hollers at him all the time for it. It doesnt help that we tease him, either. LOL. We go wandering about all of her acres among acres of land and split up, then call him so that he has to try and find us. He will find one, usually me first since I'm always feeding him scraps and treats, then he will totally FORCE you to follow him, and he leads you to where the others are!! So darn smart! I can never hide from him! Then once he gets us all together... we cant leave until my friend comes out and yells at him! LOL. It's so much fun, but some times i do feel bad when we get him trouble.
