They are adborable Deb!!!! They are such delicate little creatures!!! When I was in second grade, we had a drawing to see which students would get to take the class pets home for Christmas vacation to care for them. I got to take the finches home and I let them out of the cage, and they got into the christmas tree and it took me forever to find them because they look just like the fake birdies we use for Christmas ornaments!!! I did find them, bout tore up the tree doing it!!!! Can't believe I remember that!
Finches are the only type of bird that I would consider keeping. Most all other birds freak me out for some reason. Well, most anytime I go to a Pet Store, the parrots try to attack me...
They really are dainty and pretty little birds. The male also has a beautiful song like the canary. He sings to her constantly now.... since the nest building.... Looks like he's trying to put his best foot forward---for some "unknown" reason.
