Cut- up cakes hobby

Have you guys ever done any cut up cakes?  Here are some pics of some...I have a book of ones I have made.  My first one ever was for my sons 1st birthday 23 years ago...I baked it in a 9x14 pan and cut it up to fashion a rocking horse!  It turned out beautiful, and my daughter in law just made her version of the same horse for my grandson too!  I have a pic of that cake I will try and get on here later...but here are some other cakes like what I do.  They are a lot of fun...but takes a bit of time!!!

Those are great!  I love them!  Have you ever done a Chihuahua shaped cake?  I'd love to be able to do that; did you go on a course or something to learn?  I want to do it!

Hey Jess...here is a link to a picture of the book I learned out of...there are earlier paperbacks from 1959, which was the pone my mom used to make us these cakes when we were kids!!!   This hardback was published in 1993, which I think is the latest printing.  I bought this one fro my daughter in law, and I have one of the old ones.  LOL.  Anyway, I wanted to post some of my cakes...

1.  The first one I ever did...Rockinghorse...for my sons first birthday (he is 24 now).

2.  A graduation cat for my son'rs ex girlfriend.

3.  Bany bootie cakes for my daughter in laws shower...some were chocolate and some were yelloow cake...they were adorable at the shower!!!

4.  Old bunny cake I made when my son was about 6 years old.  Loved that one!!!

That cut up cake thing seems like a lot of fun... but I think I'll just stick to photography. LOL!!

I can cook and bake really well, but when it comes to making food look pretty... I'm not so good at that part! I'm better at cooking it all, then eating it all!!

I'm sure that your work is beautiful though, and if those piccys were of your work... then WOWIE!!!
